My teeth probably are similar to yours ZummersetGirl, having grown up in UK too.
However I was threatened with a surgical removal of an impacted wisdom tooth in the mid 70's by a specialist in Palmy, called Mr Hookham!
Luckily I was pregnant at the time and he couldn't do it. The baby is my 40 + something dentist daughter who is keeping an eye on it and saying it is all good!
Oops off the track from Covid but that's what happens when we get to page 8!

And mine was part of a dental group called Aiken, Pulham, and Sheddon!

But back to Covid-19, Quite an encouraging lower number today. Boris is in hospital, so watching that with interest. it would be awful if the UK loses him when he's been the only one to break that childish gridlock on the Brexit deal.
I have Penfriends who live in Upper NY state who are very frightened.

Think seriously about this

For many years we all laughed at Whacko (Michael) Jackson wearing gloves and masks.

Speaking of masks, there is discussion around that we should all be wearing them in the supermarket. Given that you can't buy them for love nor money, where are we supposed to get them from? There may be a dust mask kicking around the garage. I have downloaded a pattern from the interweb and may have to dig out my old old sewing machine. Until then I'm going commando B)

Nah! He was covering up the botched face lifts that made him look skeletal.

Anakei, OH went to New World this morning for some essentials. He wore a mask and they made him take it off as they have face recognition cameras installed inside the door, so you cannot wear a mask inside.
Lots of the things on my list were simply not available. You cannot buy nuts and snacks anymore from the bulk bins. They are all closed, all you can get are 350grm packs of prepacked snacks.and There was no butter or even margarine. Lots and lots of the shelves were empty, so it's no good saying that there is plenty of food in NZ (Jacinda) to go round, if the supply chains are not going to distribute it, and growers are forced to plow in all the fresh vegetables because their access to retailers is out of bounds. The waste in this country is going to surpass the need, and we will all end up getting ration coupons, when that "plenty of food for all" dries up. Did manage to get some janola, however it was in a 2 lt container, so at least we have something that might deal with germs. Strangely there was both bread and toilet paper so the input, output machine is catered for!!!

I made ice-cream last night, with grated chocolate in it. There will be things we run out of but there will also be things we can continue to make for ourselves. Including butter! We could trade it for ... flour!

What I'm really missing from the supermarkets [or any other source] is seedlings and seeds!
