What Price Premium Hay?

Hey folks! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year...

Just wondering what the going rate would be for this season hay? It is a little unusual in that it has
  • no ryegrass in it (equine mix of timothy, grazing broom, chichory, fescue, clover)
  • no dock in it
  • no thistles in it
  • been baled as conventionals
I only have 25 bales spare, but as it is so clean of weeds, and is so equine friendly - I don't want to exactly "give it away"

Anyone seen the latest prices around for conventionals? Even ordinary hay prices would give me something to base a "premium" price on to sell it. :)

I've just been quoted $5.70 +gst to buy small bales
($2.60 for cutting and baling, $1.10 for the cartage and $2 to the owner of the grass) +gst on all.

Oaklands, why dont you go on one of the horse forums, its quite possible that people with horses would appreciate the nature of the hay that you are selling but not many people are necessarily thinking in the vein that you are.
there could be many that think that no ryegrass actually means poor quality whereas my horsey friends look for the kind of hay you are selling. They pay about $10 here in auckland for it, or did last year and it was the same price as conventional hay

I pay $10 bale delivered for quality horse hay here in the BOP. I would expect to pay more for your horse friendly hay.
