I was highly embarrassed when the previous husband
yelled at a poor waitress, "I want to eat the thing not milk it"
Needless to say we did not have the same taste in steak; or much else either.

Gidday

I remember just after the fancy hotel, Willow Park, in Tauranga had opend our shift went out to their restaurant for a dinner. I asked for a rare steak and it came out quite plack on a chunk of cast iron still sizzling.

Back then Kiwi's were a bit reluctant to complain but I sent the bloody steak back and asked for another one. Everyone except me was highly embarrassed. I was just peed off.

My flatmate used to say I liked my steak 'run through a warm room'. When in restaurants I say I want to hear it mooing as it comes out of the kitchen :-)

Not really--hubby claims he likes his medium rare, but about the only time I get to see the red of the meat in something like a roast is when I order it out at a restaurant... :D

Hot through with a srisp brown outside, but still moo-ing when the fork goes in, works for me.
