Such a great idea. If you only have a few containers, stick them in the glass house, they keep your seedlings warm at night. A friend is making a no dig tyre garden this year, she infected the neighbour's with some as well, lol. Pity they can't be filled with water, though.

At a fair recently, the garden stall sold half 20litre containers with small carrots planted in them, and today I read that cutting old plastic rubbish bins in half crosswise and taking the bottom out make good potatoe containers too.

About 25 years ago I cut these pallets in half to make duckboards on the packing line.
Today I rebuilt them; finished it off with a few staples & a rusty dog chain.
Now all I have to do is fill it.
The muncher is parked beside it, the trees & shrubs are in danger. :D
