It's a 'mulititude of pegs and you could still be in danger of losing your smalls' wind out there today.
Nasty!!!
Yesterday was so warm, almost hot, today Franklin is being whipped by a strong gusty Easterly.
The 'spare' garage tilt-a-door had been whipped up and was balancing on the little chook house I built. Luckily it hadn't been smashed. I know how flimsily it has been put together. [:I]

It's definatley a day for indoor pursuits.
I bought three sacks of various feed yesterday but was too tired to drag it out of the car. Kim took off this morning on a job and the feed went with her. I was dithering about wondering what to do but, you know, facing the problem by going out into the garage and actually looking into the feed bins, I found there was quite enough to go around. I had imagined there wasn't..... Doh! Well, battling the wind, they have all been fed and fences moved.
Phoebe the cat is being affected by the wind and has caused havoc in the toilet playing with the floor mats and generally belting about.
What is it about wind and animals, even the human kind.

Hopefully, that troublesome garage door will stay put. I piled a few heavy bits and pieces on it. It's laying across a pile of yet to be sorted firewood and general rubbish waiting for a trailer.

The last time the wind blew from this direction the ruddy thing banged against the garage window and broke it.

Batten down the hatches youse Franklinites.

It's a 20-pegger here today...I keep expecting to see my goats fly past the window. I hope they're digging their little feet in...

I just need to settle on what to watch, a movie, a britcom..... I'll probably decide on something I can't find.
I've lost Hocus Pocus somewhere. It's on a tape with another movie.
I did find it and wrote on the spine in BIG letters 'Hocus Pocus' but no matter how hard I stare at the videos, it just won't pop out at me. It's there, I know it is, but where is mystery.
I could spend an hour trying to decide what to watch. I'll find the one I'm looking for and by the time I've found it, I've changed my mind. I'll just spend the day staring at labels.

I think we may have bacon and vegetable soup tonight....One pot, no mess. ;)

Blowing in gale in the Paeroa/Thames area as well. I'm in one of those lazy moods today so I think I will have a "granny nap" for an hour, snuggled up with my fur-friends on the bed :-)

Managed to get away with just the one peg here today but reckon should have had 2! I was debating whether to ring the top house and say to watch out for me M&S drawers billowing up the hill!

Just a light breeze now, and all bloomers look present and correct!

Hocus Pocus sweetie. It's a movie with Kathy Najimi and Bette Midler and another woman whose name I can't remember. They are three witches.
It's quite fun... when I find it. Probably a bit scary for young children though but over 7 or 8's shouldn't find it too bad, especially if they're not the sentitive types, you know, not scared to watch Harry Potter.

I think it's set around Salem or one of those areas. Quite a bit of comedy in it. Bette Midler hovering on a broomstick telling a long departed bloke he's a 'Maggot Museum'. (She poisoned him and then sewed his lips together so he'd never tell anyone who poisoned him. He rose from the grave to help the kids out. Teenage boy, girl and a younger sister to the boy.)

Umm... the youngest witch is the blonde journo sexpot from 'sex and the city'? Sarah Jessica Parker? Think I've seen it once.

I liked Sex and the City, lots of T&A ;)

No, i was asking what a tape was............

It's what was around briefly between 8mm films on projectors and DVD's
I think the neanderthal of tapes was something called a BetaMax.

Whatever a Max was, I'll thak their word that it was better :)
