Help with song lyrics

Hoping all you very knowledeable people can help.
My great-aunt is turning the big 100 later this year[:0] and has requested someone sing Silver Threads and Heart of Gold.
Apart from the difficulty in getting someone to sing... we can't find the lyrics:(. Has anyone heard of this song?
While it is always possible she has mistaken the song we don't think it that likely as she is sharp as a tack and is famous for her memory.
We have had suggestions that she may mean 'Silver threads among the Gold' or 'When Silver threads are Gold again' and will check with her.
But if anyone has suggestions or can even suggest a good place to look we'd be grateful.

Google is your friend, and I'd hazard a guess that it *is* supposed to be "Silver Threads among the Gold". A quick search will bring up the lyrics and a midi file of the tune.

If, she wasn't so 'with it' we would accept she made a mistake but seeing as she can remember all her nieces and nephews names, their partners names, their chilrens names, their partners, the children's childrens names... and their ages[:0] (100s of people) we are a tad reluctant to 'assume'
Plus it sounds like a love song to my older relatives... and aunty has been steadfastly single all her life.

If you ask her who she remembers singing it (or perhaps if she remembers when it came out? Like, perhaps it was an oldie when she was young, or it might have been her favourite song when she was 16), then you cld use that variable to google it, too. I have a singing FIL and if you let me know a few more details I cld ask him (alth he's more opera than a/thing else, but worth a try!)

Maybe she means "Silver Hair and Heart of Gold" by Layton and Johnstone. I just listened to the song at this address. Give it a listen....maybe it is what she wants. They were popular in the 20's and 30's. Good luck.
