I've got rid of expired Norton and twice have waited 2hours to download Avast but don't know how to install. And can't find the download now anyway 
Do I have to have a 3rd go? or is it hiding somewhere? Please help

Well found them both[
] but have to select a programme to open the file, what do I select? They're in Windows /prefetch ,think it's a temp folder. I should have selected Save? when it finished?

There should be something which tells you its some sort of setup or installation file and if you double click on it, it should do what you need. I'm just guessing here, haven't had to do that bit of it for a long time. Try everything, something might work.

I have to select a programme to open and don't know which one........Adobe, words document, etc etc...I'm not a technical person.....

What do I do with setupeng.exe......it just leads me to more and more windows which I'm afraid of, and register here blah blah. I dont want a third download of Avast either!I was hoping for a 3 step programme that any idiot could instal but alas it's not like that I fear. []
