I have a NZ stamp collection to dispose of - about 6-7 full stock books dating from the 80's back to turn of the century (1900 that is)- lot of blocks, 1st day covers etc.
Whatis the best disposal route - flog off all the more valuable stuff on TradeMe and donate the rest to ? OR wait till I get to a big city and get it valued/sold?
My uncle was well into his stamps...but it has skipped a generation, it would seem. I would suggest getting your collection valued before you make a decision on the best way to sell it.

definately valued. odd stamps a kid picks up here an there can sometimes be pretty valuable for different reasons. and a collection including FDCs and blocks can be pretty valuable too. I don't know much about stamp collecting, but one of my workmates was a collector last year and some of the stamps he got were very pricy.
isn't there a stamp buyer in Otaki? or is he just into coins?...anyone in that area know??? he's on the main road.. Levin end of town, opposite the petrol station. Also one in Palmerston North - Broadway avenue..that ones definately stamps...
Definately check out your prices first though .. people will always try to rip you off and you should be getting the true value .. not what they want to pay to make a profit. good luck. There is also someone who advertised in the paper quite regularly for stamps, medals, etc.. keep an eye out even if it's just for a comparison price.
