Best answer for getting rid of spam?

My inbox is overloaded with spam. Lots of viagra and viiiaaagra etc, it is so bad I think I may change my email address. Is there any software that filters it first for Outlook preferably.

Your ISP might have some spam filtering- check and see. I'm with Paradise, and they do.

There is a system called Mailwasher. I don't know if it's still going, but you could try that.

Also, if you can bear to get away from Outlook (if it's Outlook Express then please get away from it!) you could install and use Thunderbird. It has a spam filter built in, so although you still have to download all the spam it is detected and squirreled away somewhere so you don't have to see it.

I use mailwasher, wouldnt be without it.
Most of my spam is removed by my ISP, but what does get thru I can eliminate from mailwasher after I have read it instead of downloading it to my PC.

Just to make you feel better - I get about 450+ emails a day, of which about 410 are spam

Aye Kate it is a terrible curse isn't it! I don't get that many emails but it's about the same percentage[xx(]

But thanks to you guys - it is much better now with Mailwasher, which I see is 'made in NZ'
