We have tickets for the Cure also.[8D] We were dead luck to get pre-sale tickets right up the front downstairs. I have waited nearly 30 years to see Robert Smith and the boys, can't wait. We are also seeing Ryan (NOT Bryan) Adams on 16 August. Two nights out in one week (or month, year!) unheard of for us with young children.[:0]quote:Originally posted by tigger

Sorry not a fan of the Police, can't stand Sting's voice or their music.[V]

It would be neat to carpool but we are taking our 4 & 3 year and 10 month old boys with us to be babysat by family in Auckland while we are at the concert, so our car will be at maximum capcity. :(We will also be staying in Auckland because we have the Ryan Adams concert two nights later on the 16th and will use the in between time to catch up with friends/family etc.
Am so excited! We have friends coming from around the country esp. for the concert. One friend who recently returned from the UK and now lives in Dunedin, I haven't seen for 16 years!
We are going with quite a group of friends and the plan is to go fancy dress, ie. to dress up goth. Should be a laugh.
If you go to www.thecure.com and look for the Auckland concert details you will see that there are several fans wanting to organise either pre/post concert drinks for the out of towners.

So no pogo-ing then!quote:Originally posted by ardnas
I would have loved to have gotten the general admission (standing) tickets and get myself in the moshpit[8D], but I will be approx. 24 weeks pregnant at the time of the concert (and soon to be 40), so not such a good idea. Therefore we have opted for seats.

Off subject, but still music. Just found this. Haven't thought about it for years. It is such a feel good song.

Of course as exciting as that will be, it still doesn't compare to the suspense of waiting for James Blunt's new album (All The Lost Souls) due for release on the 17th of September.
