Bank Scam

Hi has anyone had a bank phone asking about visa/mastercards etc. I had a call tonight but they didn't get far as I had visitors and told them to phone another time.

Just wondered if a scam was in work again.

If they ask for pins etc its a sure sign, anything other than 'do you want a credit card?' would start warning bells ringing for me. And if they did ask them anyway I'd tell them to stop bothering me, if I wanted one I'd call them! [}]

put them on hold & play Panterra or Megadeth down the phone.......

if they ask for your card number and pass... tell them you have to go find it, then put the phone down and wander off...

if they think they're gonna get something they're likely to run up a bill waiting playing muzac will just drive them off before they go broke.

ask em for their number and you will call them back.... around midnight.[}]

It's expensive to call India, even at midnight.

I hate the callers trying to sell something.. this week I have had three days ..one call per day.. from Sky trying to sell me a subscription... Told them each day.. NO and remove me from your system....they won't without my full name and address (which I won't give) so they ring again the next day... my argument with them would be that if I said yes they would never ring me again.. yet I say no and they don't seem to be able to register that on their system to stop calling me... very frustrating...then I asked to speak to the supervisor in the call centre and ..."accidentally" got cut off... yeh right:(
