Ohh dear the way the TV ONE news read about to day being the time for the results of the Tower outcome didnt sound as tho they expect it to fail for the deciders..
Hope you have several pairs of false nails on Kate so that you can chew them off while you wait and then respond.. .

I'm not chewing my nails...if they do the right thing then they'll say no. If they bow to political pressure and say yes we start again in the Environment Court and go to judicial review. It's like the America's Cup, a series not a one-off!

If they don't then I will lose all faith in the system. Unlike most of the media 'experts' I've actually read all of the submissions, all of the transcripts of the public conferences, all of the EC's Economic Analysis of the proposal. Anyone who read all these documents would know that this proposal must fail. It stinks! There are better, cheaper transmission options that would give Auckland and the upper North Island over 18,500 times less risk of power cuts than this stupid proposal!

But since you mentioned the America's Cup and since this is the Off Topic Forum, I want to say I hope that they now stop with the Cup in NZ! And I am a sailor and I am( better "was") sailing Races etc. But you have to know when to stop! And yo have to know what is worth to support and what isn't. People like Dennis Conner and Bruno Trouble say the AC is not what it was before. It is all about money now. And they are thinking of pulling out. So maybe there won't be a Luis Vuitton Cup anymore! Very sad!!

My opinion: Do not support Ernesto Bertarelli's millionario circus anymore. Show them that this is not what makes the America's Cup. Team New Zealand has power. If they would pull out maybe stupid Ernesto would wake up! If he wants to have a Alinghi's Cup so be it. But do not use the traditional America's Cup for your playground, you bored pric*! Don't waste our Tax money in another campaign supporting this Swiss arrogant - uups - sorry, better eat my Weat Bix!

Thanks...I'm not sorry, I'm incandescently angry. The dissenting commissioner conclusion is that the proposal "comprehensively fails the Grid Investment Test" That would also be the view of anyone who looked at the proposal fairly. That the three assenting commissioners can so twist the facts to come to this decision is infuriating.

The line will never be built - this decision just slows down the process.

Ohhh Kate, Im truly sorry, IT would be OK if it was just for some vague reason that you were agin it all.. and that it really was the best and safest and for long term reasons.. but the closest this is to something useful is their steam rolling process that they are using..
