Hi,
Anyone know what the minimum Horsepower to run 2x High Lift Blades on a ride on mower?

As I'm looking at getting a Husqvarna GC38 bagger kit and modifying it to fit my Rover 439/38 ride on mower and I read High Lift Blades are recommended for use with bagger kits.

I am guessing that your Rover is about 12 -15 hp which is about normal for ride ons. The bagger needs "hi lift" blades to create more updraught to send the clippings up the chute and so have bigger "ears". I think that as long as you keep the revs up it should be ok. Of course you need to mow more often so as to keep the clippings short and dry or they will clog the chute.

5 acres, Ferguson 35X and implements, Hanmay pto shredder, BMW Z3, Countax ride on mower, chooks, Dorper and Wiltshire sheep. Bosky wood burning central heating stove and radiators. Retro caravan. Growing our own food and preserving it. Small vineyard, crap wine. :)
