Farm rego for ute

Hello, looking for advice here.
Our old diesel ute is entering semi-retirement, her future will see her shifting greenwaste and firewood around the section, but occasionally she still might need to go on a public road.
I'm fairly sure that means she can't be registered as a farm vehicle.
Can anyone with experience confirm?
Thank you

Light diesel vehicles (ie weigh less than 3.5 tonnes) that are used almost exclusively off-road for the following purposes may be eligible to be granted a permanent exemption from paying road user charges. The eligible purposes are:
the vehicle is driven almost exclusively off-road, and
the vehicle is driven on public roads only within 10km of the boundary of the property where it’s usually kept,

5 acres, Ferguson 35X and implements, Hanmay pto shredder, BMW Z3, Countax ride on mower, chooks, Dorper and Wiltshire sheep. Bosky wood burning central heating stove and radiators. Retro caravan. Growing our own food and preserving it. Small vineyard, crap wine. :)

Our ATV is registered "Exempt Class B", which means that it has a number plate, is registered each year, does not go faster than 20 kph when on the road, does not need a WOF, and can only go 31 km on a round trip, so 15 km from home. Ask your question to the registration people at MOT.

About a year or so ago, we decided to register our retiring ute as a farm vehicle and then decided it wasn't worth the effort as the only road it would be travelling on would be the one that cuts our farm in half - all of about 500mtrs maximum. That decision came in the light of what Tony has quoted as no way it would have being going anywhere like 10kms from the boundary. At the moment the rego. is on hold and in the due course of time I'll get around to deregistering it.

Cheers,
Ronnie
