Do you own any non-commercial backyard poultry?
Yes! Then we would like to invite you to participate in a short online survey to better understand how you gather and use information to support poultry health and management decisions in your flock.
The survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete with all information anonymised and treated in the strictest confidence.
You can access more information about the project and the questionnaire by using the survey link below: Survey link
The survey can be previewed by taking a look at the attached PDF.
If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact the research team at

One of the ways these surveys fall down big time, is that one cannot read ahead to get a better idea of the focus of the survey or even to be able to tell if I for one would actually like to complete one. Nothing ruder than a big red "Answer the Questions" when trying to access the new page. I know I am not the only one of the LSB members that likes to pre-read before making up my mind about completing it. Count me out

Thank you for your feedback on the survey. It's really useful for us to get feedback so we can continue to improve future surveys. Unfortunately, it's too late to change the survey design now but I will attach a word document to the post with all the survey questions so people can read them in advance.

Totally agree with those thoughts.
Dont know why they continually set them up that way
Have had look yes this is another one that stops you answering some you dont want to before going forward.

Well I did the survey - there were quite a few "prefer not to say" or neutral options.
My main concern is that this is a Trojan horse to make owning a backyard flock prohibitively expensive and/or bureaucratic in the interests of "health and safety" for examples see bee keeping and home baking.
