We are base in derbyshire, uk and have a couple of pygmy goats. Our poor athur has a skin condition on his ear and although it doesnt appear to bother him it is quite distressing for us. He has no other rashes elsewhere and neither does his brother. We are desperate to know what it is and how to treat it. We have tried to use noromectin topically but were not sure it had much effect.
That looks very like "dermatophilosis" which is a skin condition caused by a fungi in damp conditions. The first thing to try is an iodine wash, followed by an alum wash, then rinse this off and wash again with the iodine wash but this time leave the iodine on. Repeat in a couple of days.
