I noticed in the cooks garden forum that a 'seedbox' as been passed around from person to person and has proved to be quite popular and successful.
My little piece of inspiration today is, can we try something similar for books. Paperbacks in particular would be better to post.
I have a few sitting around that I doubt if I shall read again, perhaps someone else would like to read then then pass them on.
If ya'll think its a good idea or have some books you think you could pass on then maybe we could start a postal book club or summat!

MM
Take a look at www.bookcrossing.com
I saw a TV news spot about this as it has started up in NZ - its essentially people "releasing" books - either into the "wild" e.g. leaving them on a park bench or in a cafe or "controlled releases" where they are sent to someone (can be international).
I think the books have a note written in to let people know to log onto the web site and register the book as found. Once you have read it you re-release it.
More info on the web site.
