I have some texts today that I would like to save and/or copy for future proof reference... is there a simple way to go about this apart from taking a photo of the messages on the mobile?

What sort of mobile phone do you have?
You could take screen shots or forward them to another phone.

Wairarapa. 2 cats and a large veggie garden.

the traditional way was using a scanner. Some fax machines can scan documents as well. Probably easier to take the documents to a copy shop. If you have the right software you can turn a scanned document into a word document using Optical Character Recognition software. You can use online software for this too. Google knows all about it!

5 acres, Ferguson 35X and implements, Hanmay pto shredder, BMW Z3, Countax ride on mower, chooks, Dorper and Wiltshire sheep. Bosky wood burning central heating stove and radiators. Retro caravan. Growing our own food and preserving it. Small vineyard, crap wine. :)

oh - ok, I see what you mean now! There are plenty of software programs that you can use to copy sms, txt etc from your IPhone to your PC.
