We haven't been for about 7 years, and have decided to brave the hordes and go this year. The site is vast, and I'd quite like to locate the exhibitors we want to visit beforehand..... except there is a small fly in the ointment of my advanced planning. No-where on their website can I find a list of exhibitors. I've emailed them asking for assistance, but have yet to have a reply.
Thanks. Sadly I think my phone must be too ancient to cope with it. I found the app, installed it, but couldn't get past the first couple of screens before it closed itself.
I guess I'll have to wait until we get there and have a look at the program..... *sigh*
5 acres, Ferguson 35X and implements, Hanmay pto shredder, BMW Z3, Countax ride on mower, chooks, Dorper and Wiltshire sheep. Bosky wood burning central heating stove and radiators. Retro caravan. Growing our own food and preserving it. Small vineyard, crap wine.
In our experience most exhibitors are in the same location year after year. Another thought is to make a list of things you would like to see and manufacturer, then go to their website and look for any field day promotions or advertising. That usually tells you reference/grid numbers of their site. Then use a highlighter to mark on the map before you leave.
We have done this is the past before the app to ensure we headed straight to those items of interest rather than wear ourselves out walking aimlessly and forgetting half of our wish list.
"ensure we headed straight to those items of interest rather than wear ourselves out walking aimlessly and forgetting half of our wish list."
lol, that was our thought exactly as we've done that in the past - and then when you DO find something you wanted to look at you are too darn tired to give it more than just a quick look and think "meh, sort it later".

Something we found with big ticket items was that a better deal could always be struck after fielddays but while the manufacturer field day discounts still applied. So if you have something major in mind, don't feel like you have to make a decision on the day. Get your prices and walk away
Ahhh back in the good old days...... Mum and Dad dragged us along to the first 4 or 5 of these, including one that QE2 came to....
and you could talk to every exhibitor within half a day .
