Can anyone recommend a reliable & reasonably priced LCL shipping company for a small (25kg) single package consignment from (Eastern) China to NZ?
I'm guessing sea freight will be cheaper than air & this isn't as a problem as there's no specific time frame to get it here.
I'm currently seeking prices from the main players, ie Mainfreight & DHL, but it would be great if anyone has any other recommendations I can try.
Thanks

We regularly bring in shipments from China from 5 to 500kg and have never had issues with any freight. They usually send on China post and all sorts of carriers of their choice but always gets here.
From my experience guys like FedEx, DHL etx are REALLY expensive. But if the package is valuable enough may be worth it to get a traceable insured delivery...
Make sure you keep an eye it doesn't get stuck in customs. They can often be slow to notify you they are holding your goods.

We use Rohlig where I work & they are great. We are bringing in large amounts, as in, have just had 100ft of stock arrive, and have another 80ft arriving in a couple of weeks, and usually have at least 60ft arriving every 6-8 weeks throughout the year. Never have any issues with it getting held up etc. They are even getting a shipment re-routed for me currently (was supposed to go straight to Aus, & supplier put it on a ship to NZ instead).

Thanks for the replies ashesman & alouho. I eventually got a reasonable deal with DHL via the supplier & the parcel has just landed in NZ today & is currently with NZ Customs.
There's no duty payable on the goods, but I've got GST & the IETF to pay, hopefully it won't take too long for them to let me know how much I owe them.
It's the first time I've done anything like this & I've found the process quite stressful, but I guess the more you do it the easier it becomes.
