Hi,
I'm looking for empty feed sacks (dog food, sheet pellets, grain etc) for making sandbags on the south side of a tunnel house.
I need about 150 so if you're looking for somewhere to dump empty sacks instead of the rubbish bin, I'd be interested.
I'm in North Canterbury.
Thanks.

Put a note in your local Farmlands store if they will let you. Also ask at your local Ravensdown store if they have any returned bags. The staff at the local store sell returned bags for cash to go into the social fund.
Be aware that these bags only last for perhaps 2 years, and generally less, out in the elements.

My feed supply place always has spare sacks as people bring them back.
Or racing stables that get through a lot of feed
They do break down under sunlight, so you could put a cover over the whole thing to protect them and they would last longer, such as a tarp
