I was in McDonalds (yes you can shoot me) in the USA one time in the middle of summer there and wearing bare feet.
I was asked to leave, I asked why, they said for hygiene reasons... I scratched my head, looked at the shoes everyone was wearing and wondered how they could be more clean than my feet that had been washed only a couple of hours earlier...
Some how some way my usually very slow wit encourages me to reply;
"when was the last time you heard of someone scratch their nuts or wipe their ass with their feet?" [:0]
I then left and ate elsewhere...
