When I went back to the UK a couple of years ago, we brought loads of cheese back, all declared, all commercially packaged. I have a friend going to France to see her daughter this week and I cannot find the the page where I found what you can and can't bring into the country. Previously she has had cheese taken off her and is reluctant to bring stuff back for me because she thinks it will be taken of her. I have emailed MAF, but I sort of need an answer asap as she it flying out tomorrow or the day after.

You could start here!

I started on the Biosecurity web site-under importing, which led me to this.

Ring MAF. It'll be faster than trying to wade through their websites. They're actually quite helpful on the phone.

I think you're OK as long as it's a commercial product sealed in a commercial pack. And be sure to declare it upon arrival.

If it's coming from the cuzzie's lifestyle block and wrapped in a bit of grease-proof it might get rejected.
