Feildays BBQ get together?

Would Friday be better - on the basis that people who are coming for the weekend might be able to make it on Friday night, but wouldn't be able to make it on Thur night.

Personally, I'm happy either way as we will be up for the entire time.

My Wife and I and a 3 children are down friday as this seemsto be the big day it wou;d be great to meet everyone at the fieldays somewhere around 12

We could certainly have an assembly point sorted out, Andy...perhaps each day at midday anyone who is around who wants to can meet there?

Only thing we found last time was that it was a bit rushed/stilted doing it this way, but at least you can put faces to the names!

The site map is at http://www.fieldays.co.nz/index.php/pi_pageid/105 but for the life of me I can't see/think of any areas that were open enough to just sit and relax for a bit - anyone got any good ideas for an unofficial LSB meet and greet spot?

I would suggest in the food court esp if it's around lunch time.

The food stall area is usually crowded with people and it would be quite hard to find people, especially if you have no idea who you are looking for. Maybe if the area where the cutting horses were last year is not going to be busy with a display of some kind, it could be an option. It wasn't that far from the food stalls and if people wanted to meet at 12 noon they could swing by the food stuff, grab something to eat and meet there..... or somewhere else where you won't get trampled under foot, washed away in a flood of pedestrians or become a needle in a hay stack.

And the evening get-together, is that a happening thing? I know someone who'll be down there and might sneak along to meet some LSBers if there's a BBQ or the like.

Sounds good, Kate, tell us what you want us to bring. Friday is my one day not at Fieldays but will certainly be at the BBQ! Mr Tigger says he's a starter too.

It may be too cold for a BBQ - or at least it means the guys can do the cooking while I stay in the warm

Sue - I was going to send you my usual map to my place but it doesn't have the Mystery Creek area so I'm trying to sort out a new one.
