gumboot marks on legs was created by 3 girls farming
Ladies.. help please... while the gumboot marks didn't worry me in winter they now look totally silly with shorter summer skirts..[:0]

Any idea on how to get rid of them??? .. I've tried scrubbing them with the back brush but that didn't seem to help.. short of using fake tan (yuk) I don't know what else to do... do I need to wear tights all summer??? :(

I have bald legs below the gumboot line and hair above. Even more extraordinary, as happens on other body parts where things cut in with pressure over time, the fat/tissue beneath the skin has redistributed, so that there's actually a ridge around my legs where the boots rub! But then with surgical craters in each lower leg anyway, I'd had to give up my thoughts of leg modelling.

Ha, ha, I have gumboot marks, luckily I don't go out often, but when I do, I intend to wear them with pride! :D :D :D

Continue to wear your gumboots with your short skirt. Start a new fashion trend. You should be wearing your short gumboots by now anyway as the mud should be pretty much gone.

Oh the Chics would look great with a ballgown, an oilskin raincoat with saddle flap and speedos underneath, then, you'd be dressed for any occaision! :rolleyes:

I suspect there may be some in a collection in a particular museum, but I don't have any! There are bits of my life which are entirely unrecorded by me, except for the memories ... (Need a little musical note icon. :D )

My daughter suffers the same however that is because she prefers to wears mens red bands which bangs about the leg because they are not a good fit. She has been experimenting with a variety of long socks with mixed results...

Anyhow this winter I bought her the ladies skellerup high top gum boot and because they are a closer fitting boot, don't bang around so much. I wear boonies and don't get a mark, however we all wear steel cap work boots when handling the stock in the yards or walking about in summer/dry conditions.

When I was in the Young Farmers Club many years ago one of the girls, who was in the habit of wearing shorts and gumboots at work, complained that her healthy outdoor worker's tan stopped at the line of the gumboot top and looked silly on the beach. None of the other members had any helpful suggestions.
max2, I suspect that there are a large number of women who wear men's gumboots because they fit comfortably. My wife and my ex for starters.
