I did today while we were in town ...I think the early polls are a great idea ...saved us having to make an extra trip just to vote ...and it was not raining

Fabulous idea as we now don't have to head out tomorrow. Children all in Christchurch having a grandparent weekend and a huge list of chores that can be concentrated on tomorrow with no interruptions , well here's hoping.

yup, was really motivated this year as there is a party with one policy that I really do not want.

Yes KJJ, there is a political circus going on and you are allowed to participate, and you dont have to buy tickets to watch it either

Tuesday. I wasn't aware, last time, that one could vote early. I'm going away tomorrow, so wanted to get it done so I don't have to muck around on my way out.

Advance voting is great - I flew to Australia today, and won't be back in NZ until after the election!

It is going to be interesting to see who gets to form cabinet once the votes are all counted tomorrow night. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but rather than "confidence and supply" agreements, instead, I'd like to see the MPs support or oppose bills on the basis of their merits, and not on the basis of which party proposes the bill.

We do live in interesting times (the political circus)

...so basically I will be watching a circus on Saturday ......but I prefer the one with acrobats...although a bit nervous about a tent in Auckland with the expected weather.

Did ours on Wednesday as there was snow predicted for today....we've woken up to sunshine ....its supposed to turn to rain later, but I'll take the sunshine....now if I can only convince the ewes to start popping out their lambs while its sunny:rolleyes:.

Voted out at the Hall out by the Olive Grove when i went out there to move and check sheep .. soooo much quicker and easier than doing it here in town .. specially when i was only person there to vote at the time

Yep, special vote as we have changed area in the last couple of months, what a fiasco, wish they would give the workers a bit of training, took two people three quaters of an hour to fill out a one page form!

I must say I didn't think much of the way Mike Hoskings conducted the leaders debates. it was bad enough JK and DC were talking over one another, but when all three started it was impossible to hear if any ideas were worth listening to. John Campbell did a much better job.
We went out this morning and the school at Ardmore were one of the places we could go. Big mistake, they just happened to be having their Ag Day at the same time, and parking was horrendous. Think it was very bad timing on the part of the school. I should think the majority of voters would turn out to vote, not to spend their day at a school fair. And I doubt it would have generated much in the way of patrons, other than those who would have gone anyway.
