don't you hate people who....

When they reply to something you have said and it is obvious they have got the wrong end of the stick, you try to correct them and rephrase whatever they have misunderstood and they reply "no I understood it correctly the first time" and you can tell them till you are blue in the face that they have got it wrong, but they still insist that they know your mind better than you do.

I hate people who try to finish sentences for you. Some are very good at it and I feel like telling them that since they know the story so well they should have told it in the first place. That sometimes causes a "Huh"?
