I have a probably impossible grazing query.[:I]

Is there anyone out there with some space and good fencing who would be prepared to house some Clydesdales for a reasonable price. The catch? My dear girl has just given birth to a Colt and I would eventually like to breed from him. Understandably current grazing can't house him. It is a mare heavy farm and they can't risk pregnancies.

He is the last of her blood line alive and it is a great one which would be a true shame for the breed and New Zealand to lose.

I am looking at farms to buy but they mean relocating away from my fiancee and everyone I know. Is there anyone out there prepared to house a stallion (handled professionally every day from day one and very sweet at one month old).

We have a home until November next year but will relocate as soon as we find something long term.

He will need a well fenced paddock on his own from weaning. Heidi is happy to mix in with other horses.

Any suggestions/ offers of a home would be a relief.

There is the chance to make a little extra money boarding mares that come to visit him down the track.

*crosses fingers against all hope*

You might want to put up a 'Grazing Wanted' under the classified ads on this website. Best to mention what you are prepared to pay and the facilities/services you would like for that cost, as that will be important to the landowner. From experience, I only respond to requests for grazing if I know up front what the proposed return to me is and what amount of care of the animals that is going to be expected of me from the owner.
