....spear i thought for this poor guy,he's close to 60years old and is mentally handicapped,to help him the Waimakariri District Council gave him the use of some of there land so he can graze a few cattle,he spends every day going out with his bike and cutting grass on the sides of roads to take back to his animals,i dont understand why he needs to go so far away but ive seen him as much as 15km from where his cattle are with his bike and trailer loaded up to the max along with two flat tires.........[:0]

Yes he is,he got into a lot of trouble when he was in his 20's but then i think that was when people were leading him on to do stuff that he wouldn't have known was wrong, that was when he was given the land to use so it gave him something to do every day.

if he's happy why should we be feeling sorry 'sparing a thought' for him?
Are we unhappy?

For me its not so much about feeling sorry but a total admiration for just how hard he works to bring feed to his cattle every single day of the year.

To me it's admiration for the commitment to make his animals happy-a lesson many animal owners could learn from. He obviously loves his stock.
Wonder what happens to his stock-freezer or hole-in-ground?
