Insulation Needed for Tea Cosy, Oven Mitt etc

I'm about to make a tea cosy (don't laugh) & I want to line it with that grey insulation stuff you sometimes see on oven mitts.

If I put that on the inside it should keep the tea hot & also hopefully stop the tea siphoning up the spout & onto the cosy & turning it all brown like my last one which was an old white woollen ski hat.

Where can I get that stuff?

Thanks. :)

Yes, I've seen it there, sometimes its a shiny silver grey colour. I love tea cosies, but particularly knitted ones. But I have a knitted one and. Hessian one.

Thanks. I'll look in Spotlight next time in town. Deanna those are cute. I want to do one in the style of your hessian one. Thanks again.

Can't wait to see. I did mine with a group of women. Some clever technique, when turning back in the right way. I forget now. At the time I thought- oh wow. They are fun.

What about raw wool? For all that you'd need for a tea cosy you could pick it off the fences or off the ground when the sheep are shedding.

Great idea. I'd felt it first.
