A few weeks ago someone mentioned a program by the name of ghost in I think one of the site going slowly threads. Have looked but can't find the thread now (Originally read the post on my phone and thought I must have a look when on the computer)

Does anybody have the link please?

my first thought was Norton ghost which is used to transfer a backed up hard disk to another one but you found what you wanted anyway.I use Norton Internet Security with good success
Hey Sticky have you got anything to do with radio?

I put it on as I was interested (when raised a while ago) but my computer slowed to a degree that I decided I really wasn't interested so deleted it. Bear in mind I am on a fast internet connection so not sure I would load it if on Dial up and most rural connections.

No disrespect to Organix intended. Feel free to answer this O but as long as you are not being attacked, why do we need to know. I use programs that delete any rubbish I don't want.

Norton is a pretty hoggy programme.
I took it off my computer for this reason and went with eset nod32. Seems to do a good job and doesn't require much room

I am on dial-up, and have ghostery now, since Organics comment, and it has made a HUGE difference in loading speed for certain websites, especially ones like herald, stuff, bbc news, cnn, science daily, Met office etc.

LSB unfortunately is still VERY slow for me.... :(

BlueSky - I don't get that. Ghostery is just a tracking programme that tells you who is watching you isn't it? Perhaps I am the internet nerd and not realised you can shut these guys down (let me know) but not figuring how you are making your connections faster using it. Seriously - not a negative posting. What did you do?

Yes but Norton products suck, cost money, hog system resources and suck.
