Hi there. Any recommendations for a service to transport a few items - the biggest being a fridge - from the Manawatu to Christchurch.We have only had experience with the full house lots of stuff .

McDowells, Tullochs, Hilton Haulage, and I'm sure there are many more options others here can tell you about.

For a fridge I would suggest Fliway. They may be a bit more expensive but all trucks use tail-lifters so no forklifts and items are blanket wrapped. Far less chance of damage and door to door service unlike a lot of trucking co's.

I periodically get whiteware sent from Auckland and Fliways is the best used so far.

Try the furniture removal firms, the can add them on to other loads a lot cheaper.
