removehousemould.co.nz/how-to-remove-mould-from-curtains.html

I have some curtains, that despite having been soaked in bleach overnight, still refuse to give up their mould marks. I stumbled on the above link and wondered if it was worth trying, but the stuff is not cheap

Hi, Shannon Lush suggested to somebody, common salt I would have to look up the quantities, and you pop them on the clothes line and brush this on, let it dry and then the mould drops off. The other one that she has suggested is Oil of Cloves, in water and sprayed on then let dry and brush off. I will try to remember to look up the quantities and let you know. Cheers.

All I know is that I have been soaking net curtains from an apartment up for sale - in bleach - and they were still as grey in the morning as they were when I plunged them into the solution. If bleach does not remove mould, then I am wondering how the Green solution will even bat an eyelid.

Have you considered the curtain cleaning people? No idea how they do it but if they return your curtains mould free (assuming guarantee) then maybe that is the route you should consider - no doubt more expensive - but is it an option?

I think we will have a long term mould problem (far too much glass in the house), so I am looking for something I can use on a regular basis. These particular curtains are being replaced soon, but I have several pairs that more urgently need replacing, so something that would get the stains off in the meantime would be good. As they are from almost a full wall of windows, the mould is really obvious from the outside, and embarrassing.

4trees I have read of lemon juice and salt being a remedy, but have never tried it.

Yes, I have used it. Very successful too. :D
It was on cream curtains, thermal backed, yes, up against the glass too long. :( .
Worked great. Curtains have not rotted or even delaminated.
Check on a hem area for colourfastness. Lay a towel on the floor, just incase.

Look here to get prices.

Thanks for reminding me I have it. [;)]
