Can one of your northerners tell me how far this is? And what would be the best form of transport? Akld airport to Matakana. (Humans, not animal transport :))

AKL to Wellsford is 1hr:20, and Matakana is 15min before Wellsford, but 5 mins out to the east from Warkworth.
Call it 80Km.

Hire car? Could take an hour and a half to four, depending on the state of the traffic. ;)

Also realise that AKL airport is in the southwest corner of AKL, so factor in the 45 mins to 1:30 spend on the motorways. Dependant on time of day.
