Kate: Threads shrink and grow

Why is it that I see 5 pages in a thread and then I suddenly see only 3 pages in a thread?

It seems to have something to do with being logged in and maybe coockies. See screen shots below. 3 pages when I am logged in, 5 pages when I am not logged in.

When you're not logged in you see the forum default number of posts per page; when you're logged in, you see the number you opted for (or which might have been the default at the time) in your setup options.

Not sure that I agree with that Ruth. Did we not used to get say 7 - 14 pages on a thread if it carried on that far. I have not changed my options that I can remember and I only ever get 2 or 3 pages now (except for Waffles). Maybe that is all that is on it!!! laugh

Interesting question as I too wondered why it was cut back so much and just assumed it had to do with downloading the site i.e. make it quicker to open? No idea really!

Ruth is right The default is 25 posts per page, you can change it in your settings.
