Well done, and that's a great effort regarding the money!

1 hubby, 2 kids, 1 cat, 1 dog, 2 swallows and I've lost count how many offsprings with even more grandkids, 5 bunny girls, 5 bunny boys, 12 chickens (rooster, pullets, chicks and more about to hatch hopefully) and 4 goats with two of them expecting any day! (24.10.14)
But who's counting [;)]...

Surprised you will get money for your hair, as the hairdresser told me they don't do that any more. I have drawer full of my boys' hair when they had heavy metal hair shaved short.

How very awesome! You actually look kinda cool bald. I didn't know you were going to go the full monty, as it were, I just sort of saw you doing a Sinead O'Connor.

She did say donate, so I don't think she is expecting any money for it.

Having had a 'shiney top' hairstyle for over 8 years now welcome to the club :)

Advice from experience though is to have a warm hat on hand because you are now going to experience proof of the large amount of body heat you lose from your head. Your shampoo bill is going to plummet though [;)]

looks great, good on you and a great cause
Have you heard of phrenology?
A phrenologist looks at the shape of your head and makes various comments about characteristics of your personality etc. Someone did it for my son and it has proved remarkably over the years.
You can do it with horses as well, tell bits of their character by the size and placing of their eyes etc.
Quite fascinating really
Just to add another dimension to the shaven head.
I think it really suits you

thanks guys! I'm very much loving the new look - the freedom of it!!!! :D

And actually this wig maker does pay for your hair if it's like 14+ inches.
http://www.freedomwigs.com/subsidies-information/Hair%20Donation%20criteria.pdf
They pay by weight, and when I went in to visit them (they're a wee Dunedin company!) they guesstimated my hair might be worth $80 (though one lady reckoned less, she said most people only get like $60)........ The money just came through yesterday: $126! Woot! The money has all gone to the shave for a cure thing though, hence my use of the word 'donate'.

My total is now $801! YAY!
