Microgeneration Interview

Kim Hill interviewed Michael Lawley this morning (Waitangi Day). This will be of interest to those who are considering generating their own electricity and provides some good info on the issues of PV panel price fluctuations, power supplier buyback and future trends.

Now I just have to find a method of digitally altering Kim Hills voice to not sound oily and patronising.
Heard quite a few of her shows where she is obnoxious and talks over people she is supposedly interviewing.

Had Nat' programme on in work a while back and I walked in on one of my colleagues red in the face and screaming into the radio "shut up you stupid ***** and just let them answer the question ****!" ... so I can assume its not just me she has that effect on!

She does have that effect on many, but I can forgive her for it, given her otherwise excellent interviewing skills, and incredibly broad knowledge.
She conducts intelligent and meaningful interviews on a huge variety of topics and even if you know the subject well, you are likely to come away knowing more.
Cheers to National Radio for this too. It is good having radio programmes that do more than skim over a topic in more than 7 minutes!

I seldom have any problem with Kim as her wide knowledge and astute questioning make up for her overenthusiasm at times []

The Nat Radio personality I do struggle with is Mary Wilson (Checkpoint 5-7pm weekdays) who has the interviewing mannerisms of a pitbull [!]
