getting a bug

I've been crook since Thursday. Apart from nearly going crazy with boredom when I was awake, I slept through a lot of it. My biggest worry was the animals. Kim's been flat out working and, well, you know what animals can be like with routine and stuff, plus they tend to act like kids when a relief teacher is taking the class. They missed a couple of feeds.
They don't seem any worse for it but they did get into the fenced off bit and pruned the tiny apple trees. Everything else I've planted has grown quite fast but these two apple trees are out in the paddock and are fenced off (usually) but they haven't grown much at all.
They're not likely to now for a while either! [}
]
There's something iffy going on with the polywire out there. The top line has a good jolt going through it, judging by the reading on the tester thing, but the ones under it barely register, if at all. Sometimes it'll flicker just a little now and then.
This is where Cricket and Hanukkah have been getting up to their tricks. Once the others see them, [they're young and will have a crack at anything, even trying out an electric fence] they all follow through whichever means suits them. Cricket goes under the bottom wire, Hanukkah goes through the two lower ones thus proving to the others, 'tis safe!
It's not been much fun trying to get them out, fix the fence, crawl back to bed, go to sleep, get up, get them out, fix the fence... back to bed.
Today is the first day I've been up all day. I managed to eat something substantial as well so I must be on the mend.
I dithered with the fence today. Oooh and do I mean dither! What should have taken me, at a generous guess, a couple of hours, took me three if not more. I had that little voice telling me it was the long way about doing it but did I listen? Of course I didn't! I had fence standards all over the place and polywire leading a merry dance back and forth, thither and yon. I knew I was going about it the long and hard and dare I say, Stupid! way but I now know and won't ever attempt such an idiotic scheme again. "I'll just move all the standards and sort out the slack later" Phurrrrrt!
Maybe I had a fever that fried my brain? Too much exercise after illness? Pig headed? Hmmmm. Can I claim that too much exercise after being crook caused me to be pigheaded? That'll do! that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it.

Poor Yakut! Dealing with four strand portable electric fencing is a mind-frier at the best of times, let alone when you are sick. Take care of yourself.[

I've just had a crook day too, head spinning and constant burping, was trying to see what your bug was when my screen disappeared and I got some gobbledy gook asking if I wanted to join" snitz forum," it seemed to come from windows?????? So I thought Yakut had somehow tricked us and put in "her Bug" Has anyone had this Snitz offer which I ignored? Sorry you have a real bug Yakut.

No Witheze, definately a 'real' bug. These computer thingies are a whole different kettle of hot water. They make some people feel ill though. Kim sees a lot of people who look a bit green when she's visiting their sick computer.
You're right Tigger. A brain fryer!
My brain was not so much stretched, more like it had gone saggy and even the simplest task took a fair bit of concentration.
I hadn't really eaten anything since Wednesday, apart from a couple of bits of marmite on toast and a bowl of soup, so the world was certainly a bit wobbly under foot.
Oooh and my poor babies! No dinner! The wailing! Dodie bawling!
It hit deep but let's face it, she's not exactly short of reserves if you know what I mean. Neither are any of the others.
More to get done today, as usual. At least I managed to put new hinges on the shelter gate. Those ratbags had bullied and shoved until the hinges were all stressed and then with them standing on the gate the top hinge finally gave up and snapped.
It was an easy job made difficult by over curious noses, hooves everywhere and busy teeth. At least it has fairly strong hinges now.
$18 for two so they should ruddy well last!
At least the fog has just cleared. Pokeno means 'night in the underworld'. Charming!
