Email question please was created by ronnie
Hi,
I run Microsoft Outlook for my email.
My computer is a very old HP running XP
I must have clicked on something whilst in the email pane this afternoon.
I used to get the Name of the incoming email plus the subject line. Somehow, I no longer get the subject line showing, nor do I get an info if I hover over the name of sender.
Help please......

Can you right click on any of the column headings - "To", "From", etc. - and does a menu appear with Columns as one of its options? Then you can select the columns you want.

Thanks Ruth,
still not sure what I did but I seem to have managed to undo it and it all looks normal again.
Might just leave it alone for a while in case I click on something else I am not supposed to :eek:[}

Sometimes something happens to my OExpress and simply closing and restarting the program can resolve some issues.
Cold down there? It's unseasonably chilly up here!

Hi,
Yes, I did shut it down and start it up again but that did not fix the problem. And as there is no "undo" button, I was a bit stumped as to what I actually did to cause the issue. But all better now.
Yes, it has been a bit cool down here, after all our glorious sunshine. Had enough rain to dispel any thoughts of drought for a while. Bugger really as the freezing works have gone from "as much overtime as we can squeeze out of our guys" to "very short days and possibly days off" as farmers have withdrawn stock to kill in huge numbers. Such is the nature of seasonal work.
But our landlord is very happy for the rain as the ground had been developing huge cracks in it.
Nice warm start to today though, for which I am very happy.

hi,
All you need to do is right-click on the heading at the top where you should see Subject and Received or whatever else you may have. Then click Field Chooser and look for From and drag it to the position you want it with the others. You can also see if there are other fields you may find useful.
