Australian Kelpie Dog

i'm wondering if anyone on here owns, or knows of someone who owns a Kelpie dog.

The daughter of a friend owns a Kelpie bitch, and she's had trouble getting a mate for her. The dog she ended up finding for her girl did not manage the deed, and she's very disapointed.

Yes I know of a breeder in Christchurch and have seen some of the 'progeny' doing nice work in obedience etc. If you google 'Sheppardton kennels' you will be able to contact them. I realise it's probably a bit far away for you but she will probably know of any other reputable breeders in NZ who produce nice, carefully bred kelpies.

thanks, Minky, i will certainly pass that information on. The young lady in question was so very disapointed when, after going to a lot of trouble getting her bitch in-pup, it turned out to be a false pregnancy, and the bitch was in fact empty.

Hope you find a suitable dog. It's certainly disappointing especially after thinking the bitch was pregnant. Hope it goes well next time.
