Also, do you know if the problem SB mentioned has been fixed or not?

Highgirl, I think down the bottom of those post on the link I gave you, there are some posts about the Pro series being ok. You have to scroll down to the bottom of that page.

Well worth reading through some of the links within that blog/Thread also. Some very good information on how to fix the mixer if out of guarantee and things turn to custard.

Did you know, that what you thought I said, was not what I meant :S

Thanks for that Stikki, I'll check it out. The mixer salesperson I was speaking with at the home show yesterday was saying there was an elderly man in Chch that services them still so that's useful to know...in fact as I say that, he could probably advise me on gizmo issue :D

Very much flogging a dead horse here..... But did you end up getting a KitchenAid highgirl? I have been looking at them lately and REALLLLLLY want one. I too had been looking through Amazon as they are quite a bit cheaper (over here in excess of $900 which I just don't have), and i'm totally on the baking bandwagon. AND, they are a very good looking mixer [8D]

Growing the LSB one kid/lamb/calf/piglet at a time.. [8D]
