had to laugh about the quantity surveyor, we just had one do his job for an extension on our house. We were so shocked by the number he came up with we asked a builder to give an estimate and the builder came back at under half what the quantity surveyor did. We showed the builder and he had to sit down. $250000 for a 57 sq.m extension vs the builders $120000 for the same build, and the builder was a Master builder so not the cheapest on the block.

Hopefully you soon-to-be-son-in-law does a better job Lindeggs :)

And here's me thinking a draughtsperson was a checkers expert :p

What's wrong with the less complicated name, Architect?

Why call a spade an "outdoor, rectangular bladed, foot assisted, digging device" so to speak.

Did you know, that what you thought I said, was not what I meant :S

No, silly, a draughtsperson is a sexless barmaid!

Because a draughtsman can not call themselves an architect, like a nurse cant call themselves a doctor.

I prefer dealing with draughtsman rather than architects, they are a bit more accomodating towards your ideas on what will and wont work, hence I think architects have alot to answer for on the leaky building problem.

I think you would find a sexless barmaid, would be a barperson.... if they were sexless and all... a sexless barmaid could in turn be something COMPLETELY different again.... not a draughtperson at all. :)

Yes. I think I knew that. But, for my part I wasn't being serious.
