Crazy weather was created by skyline_glenn
We have just had a good shower of snow here, would imagine it is nothing compared to down south but we are 20mins north of Wellington and approx 50m above sea level

Same here at about same time 3inches on the cars from 6pm till 7pm stopped now hill road closed then north road was closed so all shut in our valley

I can see snow on Pirongia and it was snowing here earlier but didn't settle

I can't compete with those photos Glenn-but it was pretty unusual to have snow flakes and sunshine at the same time this morning!
pregnant girls coming up for their baleage, Tararuas behind
It's snowing!
...and by 10am look at the results, as long as it stays up there!
The Tararuas looked pretty chilly when we fed out at 7.30am, but all the babies were bright eyed and bushy tailed with a temperature of 2C.

There is 4inches here just stopped and now sun out just got in from feeding out hay temp up to 5deg was 1 at 9am. Joanne text it is snowing in Mirimar near the sea at work not settling

Well, after the sunshine of this morning, it has turned to a winter wonderland here too!
It's been snowing for about half an hour and is now like this!
I ventured out to check the stock and put out some hay when it started.
Luckily no calves imminent, though now I see from my window, one of the very pregnant 2 yr old heifers is now galloping round the paddock with her tail in the air-playing!
