I am looking to loan a baby goat for The Short Straw Cafe's Baby Animal Farm Day at the end of September.
They are very well looked after, you can even stay for the day just to make sure.
It gives people not as fortunate as us to get close to as many baby farm animals as we can get our hands on.
Last year was a HUGE success and it was loved by young and old, people who had not been out to Whitemans Valley for years could not believe how much it had changed and the Short Straw Cafe is a must in the Valley.
This year it is cold coin donation and all proceeds will go to the SPCA
This year we have piglets, lambs, calves, alpacas, ducklings, chicks, adult goats, pony rides and vintage tractors... .i think that is it for now.
All animals are penned and only touched by the children or adults if they have permission from the animals owners [
] Last year i took my 3 hand raised lambs, Flip, Flop and Floss, they were a HUGE hit
You can book a table to have a sit down meal, or just pop in and get something from the BBQ or grab a treat from the many stalls [
] or just come along and have a great day
Check out their web site for info on the day

I saw the most bizzar thing in Silverstream village earlier...and almost stopped...a man walking a little goat on a leash
Just what i need
But it was too busy and cars were up my back end....
It is a lovely day, not too far from Masterton if you fancy a day out Sod
Sunday 25h September
It would be great to get a hold of a baby goat but there will be plenty of other baby animals for everyone to see

Sorry, just need to suggest that you want to borrow a kid - not loan one. To loan means you give it to someone for a short period of time at no cost. Just sayin'[

Anne i am really bad with that one..i ALWAYS get it wrong..you would think after all these years i would learn English a bit better
Smilie Henry would be a great asset to baby farm day...but getting him here would be a mission....you should pop down for the day, i will be working there for the day to help out
We have 2 goats but wanted a baby one to BORROW
I will ask Ariane if she has tried Staglands or Zippity Zoo

Dawn ...my baby lambs go to Zippity Zoo to be bottle babies then come home again ...not sure if Bev has a baby goat at the moment ...but she is a neat and special animal lady (and mad as you and me) so if she has I am sure she'd let you borrow one (for a good cause[
]) ...just tell her i said you are very trust worthy with animals and mad as a meat axe just like her [:0] and me..
Cheers[^]
