After 19 years stirling service my breadmaker has up and died! It is a panosonic and has been a really great machine.
I need to get a new one, any suggestions on what brand is good?

Don't you just love the smell of that bread wafting through the house. I cranked mine up a few weeks ago, my son and his girlfreind are keen to get one themselves, so were looking at the different brands. the Sunbeam one has a battery back up for when the power goes out. (Good if you live out in the wop wops) and power supply is a little dodgy. and there is a George Foreman one which is huge available. Mine is a panasonic like yours.....gee I hope its not about to cark it, as its about the same age..

GK - if its the same model you could have the loaf tin and mixer thingy as spares if you wish.

Sorry, can't really help you there! My breadmaker is Made In Germany, is older than 19 years ;) and I am married to her since 1991! Those models are really hard to find! [:o)]

Good point PNZ - I could go back to making it the old fashioned way.

The problem with my "old" model is, it doesn't have a timer and is quite expensive in the running costs.:D

I thought about it! But where do you get a bread maker, which can also make Pasta, Jam, delicious meals etc. And runs mainly on home brewed beer? And brings me coffee to my bed side every morning? And delivers breakfast to my desk! And the design ..... [8D]

The new ones are all build with good looks, but if you look at the more important qualities you might find they are pretty simple. And require high maintenance. They require flash Chardonnay or Bubbly to run. They would probably just get enough energy from a German Wheat Beer to make some buns! Their language module is very limited, too!

Nah, I'll guess I stick with the one I have! It's still good for a long time!

Cheers

You will be very lucky to find a Panasonic. They are no longer making them

Must be common I have one too - in my case Wuppertal born but at a guess slightly older :)
