I have just put two pigs in the freezer. Lots and lots of meat
.
Apart from soup, what suggestions do people have for bacon bones?
I like to just cook and eat - has anyone ever cooked them in a slow cooker?
I know this should probably be in the cooking section, but I wanted to get lots of ideas!

my gran used to use them when she made a thing she called peas pudding. I recall it being like a loaf and having it with salad

I like green bean soup. just slow cook the bones till the meat just slides off, remove all the bones, pour in dried split green peas and continue cooking until the peas turn to mush when you stir.
You end up with bright green, delicious hammy pea soup.
