email issue

email issue was created by rob
i have a problem with email.
i try to open trade me or seek email (as examples)

i get an error coming up - APPLICATION NOT FOUND

using windows7 home edition, windows live mail and firefox

on my wifes side its all ok

HELP PLEASE, GOING NUTS HERE

Rob, Windows Live Mail is not set as your Default Email Program. I would suspect that when you got the PC it had a trial version of Office 2010 which has since been deleted.

Click Start -> Default Programs -> Set program access and computer defaults -> Click on Custom

Change 'Choose a default email program' from 'use my current email program' to 'Windows Live Mail' -> OK

we bought office 2010 and i have tried this, bugger

it used to be ok
we run nod 32 and i set it back to defaults

Rob,

When you say open Trademe emails or Seek emails, are you talking about in Windows Live Mail?

Reset the default web browser

Step 1

1. Click Start, Default Programs

2. Click Set your default programs

3. Select Firefox from the list

4. Click Set this program as default

5. Click OK.

Then follow these steps:

Step 2

1. Click Set program access and computer defaults

2. Click Continue if you see the User Account Control prompt.

3. Click Custom

4. Select Firefox from the list

5. Click OK.

KJ, yes through WML and i had tried these steps, just logged on now and its good, i just dont get it. as long as it works.
