I have an EasyCAP USB 2.0 Video Adapter with Audio, model DC60 with which I wish to capture my videos on to my computer hard drive and then burn to dvds. There is also the legend "STK1160 ATV BDA" on it. This diddler is made for Windows 2000, XP and Vista. It pays to read the fine print before buying eh, because I operate with Windows 7 Home Premium! I did a Google search to see if I could find an appropriate driver and have managed to get completely bamboozled. I also don't want to download something which could b....r up my computer. Can anyone help me please?
Doug.

Hi Doug,

Not sure if you have got this sorted yet, but have you tried installing it using the Vista driver supplied? Windows 7 & Vista are very similar...Vista is actually the development platform for Windows 7...so it could very well run on the Vista driver.

If that doesn't work I can probably track down a driver for you. I have been in the computer game since 2002 and have had to source MANY drivers in my time :-)

There seems to be 2 different types of EasyCap devices. Is yours and EZCap or an EasyCap?

Hi to you both. It is definately an EasyCAP USB Video Adapter with Audio, model DC 60. I have tried loading the drivers which came with the dvd but no luck.

I have spent many hours on trying to get this "nice wee thingy" to work but no joy.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

B***r, the EasyCap is a copy cat of the EZCap and they don't have an official website either. EZCap do but their software is not compatible. I'll do some research for you.

Couple of questions:
Are you running Windows7 x32 or x64?
And what is the error message you get?

Sorry, yes I am using Windows 7, 64 bit. Message states that the driver was unable to be installed. I then tried the usual methods of updating the driver supplied on the dvd but also without success. At one stage I got a message that STK 1150 or 1160, can't exactly recall which, was unable to be installed. I might have that wrong though. Unfortunately I am not too good with computer technical problems.
