OH always makes sure the kitten is inside before he takes the dog for a walk. Why, I have no idea as the dog takes no notice of the kitten and has even run straight past her without even looking at her.

Anyway, this evening, the kitten just would not come in, so off they went for their walk as it was getting late. Kitten was laying in the grass, in front of the gate. Dog headed towards the gate, so he would have to go around her somehow. Whilst he was busy trying to figure out how to get around her, just laying in the grass, the little minx up and chased the dog [:0][:0] She even managed to give him a swipe of her paw across his back leg. Dog took off in disgust and kitten just sauntered up to the porch and sat on the top step. Luckily, OH actually saw this so perhaps now he will worry about the kitten chasing the dog[}:)][}:)], not the other way round.

One of our other cats stands up to dogs - no worries. Perhaps he has been imparting his knowledge to her about dogs [;)]

It really was funny to watch.
p.s Dog is a fully grown labrador

yes they can be buggers.. i had 2 kittens ( now old age pensioners )..they used to stalk around the outside of the dressage arena and leap out as i rode by..best game was grabbing a paw/mouth full of tail and hanging on for grim death..swinging away..just as well i had patient horses!..
oh and the dog still lives in terror of the 7 cats

I have had a couple of hound pups who did this. Flying down the hill to the ponies, jump and grab tail. Even better if pony rider then swung pony around to see what was happening - then the tail flies out and gives pup a further ride. Needless to say, ponies were completely dog and hound proof!
