Best option is to include it in your compost as this will stabilise the nitrogen and help 'fuel' the composting process. If, as I assume by your post, it is relatively wet and clumpy then break it up before use to prevent anaerobic breakdown whether you use it in compost or direct to your garden. Smaller pieces will also make breakdown more rapid.

Using it direct in your garden or in a liquid brew will result in the lose of much of the nitrogen as it gases off as ammonia. Also the direct addition of nitrogen rich manures such as this will also present a risk of 'burning' seedlings and root tips, and will greatly increase the incidence of insect infestations and fungal diseases as the it promotes soft sappy growth and distorts the mineral balance of the plants.

If you go with direct application then wait for a month minimum before planting into the area - longer if poo is wet and clumpy.

I understood that with chooks that are free ranging then there is a fair chance that the poo will contain a lot of weed seeds.
I agree with Organix and process the poo through the compost heap.

Or collect it into old feed sacks, tie off top and just leave or gradually add to garden or compost.
